Empowering Young People Across Walsall

Walsall FC Foundation is proud to announce the launch of our Reaching Communities Youth Outreach project made possible thanks to a £489,869 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund.

The three-year project supports children and young people aged 8–18 from low-income and underserved communities across Walsall, combining sport, mentoring, and personal development to help them thrive.

Reaching Communities Youth Outreach provides prevention and early intervention support for young people who may be vulnerable or at risk of exclusion.

Through football and multi-sport activities, the project offers a positive space where young people can build confidence, develop life skills, and feel part of something bigger. Alongside sport, participants receive informal mentoring, wellbeing support, and volunteering opportunities to help them grow and succeed.

Our aims

· Increase access to positive sport and physical activity.

· Build young people’s confidence, wellbeing, and resilience.

· Strengthen local community connections.

· Create volunteering and leadership pathways.

· Reduce risk factors linked to youth violence and exclusion.
