Saddlers named Foundation ambassadors for 2025/26

Ahead of this weekend’s upcoming Foundation Fixture, we are delighted to announce six Saddlers players have committed to being Walsall FC Foundation ambassadors for the 2025/26 season.

This continues the club’s ongoing dedication, with support from the PFA, to player engagement in the community throughout the year.

Co-ordinated by Walsall FC Foundation, the players visit a range of community activities, with the club’s Academy scholars and Walsall FC Women also involved over the season.

Our Foundation ambassadors for 2025/26 are:

Jamille Matt – Inclusion

Daniel Kanu – Education

Vincent Harper – Youth Engagement

Brandon Comley – Health & Wellbeing

Lewis Warrington – Mental Health

Charlie Wragg – Sport & Participation

Albert Adomah – Community

This season, players have already been involved in a number of appearances at Walsall FC Foundation projects since August.

This includes educational workshops and physical activity sessions at local primary schools, sharing career experiences with Post 16 students, and supporting mental health football at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium.

Albert Adomah, our ambassador for Community, has already attended a handful of Walsall FC Foundation Soccer Schools this year, even running his own skills sessions on one occasion.

‘Uncs’ is passionate about the difference players can make to fans and residents in the local area.

He said: “The most important thing is giving back to the community which is always great. Even just that little appearance, where they can see a professional footballer in the flesh and are able to meet us.

“I like to see the joy on the youngsters faces. It’s something us players love to do and hope that something like this will inspire them in the future.”

Members of the Walsall FC Former Players’ Association, and current Foundation trustees, Adam Chambers and Don Goodman, joined Foundation Director Adam Davy to speak to the players last month about the importance of impacting the local community.

Club legend Jimmy Walker also popped into to join the group at the training ground, and share some of his experiences both on and off the pitch.

Adam Davy said: “The ambassadors’ role will be to promote our key themes in the Walsall community, using their platform to highlight what we do.

“Walsall FC is proud to be recognised as a ‘community club’ and we’re pleased to have the players supporting our work.”
