Five local school children received the special opportunity to experience matchday hospitality thanks to support from club and foundation partner RayGray Snacks.
The group from Alumwell Junior School were able to watch Walsall’s 5-1 victory over Tranmere Rovers in the Foundation’s executive box, also meeting Saddlers player Evan Weir pitchside at half-time.
The young people were selected by members from the local church, who are also supported by and have a close relationship with RayGray Snacks.
Walsall FC Foundation have been able to offer unique opportunities to children and young people, thanks to support from the club sponsor.
The Holiday & Play scheme provides free places at holiday camps at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.
RayGray Snacks have shown their support for the local community by kindly subsidising places for a 12-month period of school holidays, with over 8000 childcare hours gifted to the community.
This included at Christmas, where over 100 places were offered to families across Walsall.

Walsall FC Foundation’s Soccer Schools are back this February half-term, with courses on Wednesday 19th, Thursday 20th, and Friday 21st of the month.
And the Foundation are also running Girls-only camps on the same dates, for 12-16 year-old girls to enjoy a bespoke session with our female coaches.
Head of Walsall FC Foundation, Adam Davy, said: “Working with RayGray to offer free childcare to deserving families is exactly the type of partnership and project we should be able to offer residents in Walsall.
“Holiday courses cost an average of £108 per week in the West Midlands and we have been able to offer this provision for free thanks to Graham and the team at RayGray.”
Graham Jebb, Managing Director of RayGray Snacks, added: “I am local to the area and grew up in Walsall, so I know how tough the cost of living is for families.
“I am delighted to support this programme to offer free places to families and help them with their childcare arrangements, as well being able to offer these once-in-a-lifetime experiences on matchdays for children. I know it means so much to them and their families.
